I truly enjoy shooting with the 85. Share some of your favorite 85mm 1.8 shots.

Here are 2 pictures of my son I took today. Sorry no bokeh shots

I've only had this lens for a week or so , but I immediately fell in love with this prime. Here are a few snapshots :

Between the D2H, 85 1.8, 50 1.8, 180 2.8, etc., you people make it impossible for me to make up my mind. Maybe I'll just buy them all.....

Oh wait, I can't :frown:

Hmm, you lot are no help at all! I was set to go for a D40 until I saw these and a friend's 85mm 1.4 shots, so now I need a D80

Julien, I must say I particularly like your shots - lovely control of depth of field.

Cheers

Come on people! I need to recover from my last purchases before adding something else to my wish list (lol). Great photos like those above get you thinking. Thanks everyone (I think).

I bought an 85 1.8D in the early days of DSLR's when used lenses were relatively cheap.
It was only $190 shipped in like new condition with hood and Nikon UV. I miss the bargains possible in those early days.
