85mm f/1.8 thread...

    I truly enjoy shooting with the 85. Share some of your favorite 85mm 1.8 shots.

    Here are 2 pictures of my son I took today. Sorry no bokeh shots :biggrin:

    Between the D2H, 85 1.8, 50 1.8, 180 2.8, etc., you people make it impossible for me to make up my mind. Maybe I'll just buy them all.....

    50 1.8 and 85 1.8 are fairly cheap, I would start there.

    Hmm, you lot are no help at all! I was set to go for a D40 until I saw these and a friend's 85mm 1.4 shots, so now I need a D80 :tongue:

    Julien, I must say I particularly like your shots - lovely control of depth of field.

    I bought an 85 1.8D in the early days of DSLR's when used lenses were relatively cheap.
    It was only $190 shipped in like new condition with hood and Nikon UV. I miss the bargains possible in those early days.
