I was in vacation in late May, begin of June in NYC and shot the following pictures.
Today is the time to show some of them.

I remember, 16 years ago, returning home from work my mother met me at the entrance door. She was very excited - a plane hit one of the towers. My first thought was a small Cessna hit it and dropped down. While watching the unbelievable scenes on TV the second plane crashed into the South Tower.

One year later my local Corvette Club here in Germany hosted five families of fire fighters from NYC which were involved in that days...

For me, even though time has passed, it doesn't feel like that long ago - anyone else feel like that?

  4. In the first image, I would never have thought of using such a small depth of field that would put the flower out of focus but that choice works perfectly for me.

Ray: I completely agree; it seems like it happened last year.
