Cool. Ya gotta love The Netherlands.

Did you use iTTL for these exposures? Did you need to dial the SB800 down? You must have been very close to the subjects with that lens.

I indeed dialed 1 full stop down on the SB800 and used iTTL.

Too bad this info does not make it through the EXIF.

The 10.5 gives that "you are there" feeling like nothing else.

People all talk about a fisheye distorting. Personally I think there is no such thing as fisheye distorting. It sees the world as we do. Our brains do the post-processing.

What there "IS" is distortion created by most all other lenses flattening out 3-D world to a 2-D image. Those are distorted but more familiar.

Our eyes are much more like "fisheyes" than most people realize.

Congratulations, Ralph, on an excellent series. Outstanding.


And Verson, I agree with your comments about the fisheye, what you say makes a lot of sense to me, and Ralph's shots prove it.
