Hi

I have been following Olga Shirnina, also known as Klimbim, where a google search of her nom de plume will provide links to so many coloured images, it is incredible.

The quality of her work is incredible and I gain nothing but inspiration, looking at her work.

I took the challenge and attempted to colourise one she had already done and did so by desaturating and changing her image to a standard black and white and then using my process, attempted to create, not replicate, something similar.

Her original is here...

I was going to add it alongside my image but the colours of hers seemed to change when I did so: I have therefore provided a direct link which I thought better to do.

I hope friends her might find this interesting.

Best wishes as always

By the way, she has kindly given permission for her images to be used so long as not for commercialpurposes which I thought was super.

Those are indeed outstanding, some of the best I have ever seen. Perfect choice of colour.

(When colours appear to change it is probably a colour profile issue. I checked her photo on the first link you have, and that is standard sRGB, so it could be something you are doing. If you simply download it and then open it in Photoshop you should see it correctly.)

Thank you Richard and Bob...

I am truly amazed at her work which is an inspiration.....

I must try to sort out the colour profile issues Richard because it was so far off something was not right...

It was as if there were colours behind her work coming through...looked awful and her original was not like that...

Many thanks

Ray
