While reading a book about food photography that I recently reviewed, (the review is post #222 at https://www.nikoncafe.com/threads/discuss-tabletop-photography-techniques.323662/page-12), the book reminded me that it has been awhile since I have made a process food photo. That kind of photo displays the process of cooking as opposed to the finished product.

Photo of the Setup
The lamp was close to the scene and fitted with a diffusion sock because both details, when combined, produce the softest possible shadows. The white reflector changed many tones in the fork's handle from dark to medium. The fork wouldn't stay in place on its own, so put a small amount of Museum Wax on it and stick it to the bowl.
