I spent the day at a local wild life sanctuary, lovely way to spend a day.

Now I just need to sort out all the images!.. so far so good....

The last one is a little hard to see - but he is passing some meat from his talons to his beak mid flight... I couldn't work out how to make that clearer is post.... [ Any suggestions welcome...]

Nice shots.
If you have LR4, adjust the Shadows slider to the positives to get some of the detail back in the dark areas of that last image.
It will get noisy but then you'd have to blend it together with what works.

Looks like a cool place to spend a few hours.
Yes it is... I ended up spending about 5-6 hours wandering around - it was lovely to get away from everything for a little while.

nice shots :)

Wow, some really nice shots...

Thanks Pat, I recently spoiled myself and bought a 70-200 2.8 VRII, I still have a hell of a lot to learn, but there is no question that good quality glass seems to help significantly.
It's very satisfying to come home and find a few that I'm quite proud of in among a days shoot.
