A couple of garden animals

    Nothing spectacular - just wanted to take some pictures.

    Think this is a red admiral butterfly but I may be wrong:

    Nice photos Martin, but I am afraid you are wrong. It is in fact a Comma butterfly. Sadly, I have hardly seen any Red Admiral or Peacock butterflies this summer.

    Thanks for sharing these Martin, the weather (in this part of the UK at least) has been really miserable lately so it's nice that you found some time to shoot.

    I don't know much about butterflies but I agree with Mike H, I don't think that's a Red Admiral.

    The snail is good, I like the patterns of the shell.

    Thanks for your kind words and no, the weather has not been great so fia this August eh? Still, yesterday was lovely and today's been ok thus far too.
