A couple of more roses (300 f4)

    sometimes close ups are better then macros... both of these taken with the 300f4 handheld..

    thanks Frank.. sure glad I am not shooting film.. have taken over 100 shots in the last couple of days.. and my wife thinks digital is expensive.. maybe I should shoot film and she would let me get the d200.. lol

    Those are nice, especially the second one. All too often, micro(macro) is used without a clear concept of what we are trying to achieve (analysis without art). Your second image is an excellent example of showing the subject in the context of its surroundings -- it's one that can be enjoyed at any level.
