I believe these are killdeer....although I'm not an expert and may be wrong...

Nice images, especially the 2nd one, although at this size the focus seems a bit off.

Thanks for your feedback...you are right about the focus being off...didn't have much time to prepare for the shot.. Killdeer? Plover....what do I know...but in the words of the allknowing internet

Ah....I didn't realize Killdeer were Plovers! LOL!

Several years ago I took a photo of a bird feigning a wing injury. Took me several weeks while on travel to find out what it was...a Killdeer/Plover.

Karen is correct, Killdeer.
I agree the focus is off. First shot is flying away from the viewer, try to avoid that.
They are hard to photography in flight. Keep on trying.
