    These are all excellent, wonderful detail with vibrant colors and interesting action. I have never shot horse racing, but I hope I'll be able to try it sometime soon.

    Thanks- I was surprisingly happy with the detail and colors as well. This day (my first ever shooting horse racing), I was 'focus challenged' but on the shots where the D300 nailed the focus the 85 f/1.4 and 200 f/2 really shined.

    There are two facets of this series that I appreciate most, your use of slow shutter speed to show movement and the close-ups of the drivers which is very interesting. The series is very well photographed.

  7. Those are some really great shots Rich. I got the same shot as you did in #1 but it must have been a few moments before you snapped your shot.

    It would seem the jockey and horse were taking a moment to relax. :biggrin:
