A day at work...poor me!

Discussion in 'Birds' started by woundedmallard, May 5, 2007.

  1. Hey Everybirdy,

Poor me! Working hard chasing and banding Scrub-jays with my D200 slung on my shoulder. Every once in a while some slacker will be driving by, see me with my binocuars and yell out his window in jealous sarcasm "Get a real job!!". To this evious barrage my only reply can be, "It's good to be the king!"

Truth be told, it's not so easy trudging through the scrub when it's 92 degrees out, plucking off ticks at the end of every day, but I wouldn't trade it for the world!!

    Thomas :

Neat work on the nighthawk, a bird few of us have had the opportunity to shoot.

That nighthawk is one cute 'lil bird....
  7. Thanks everyone!! This was the first photo op I've had of a nighthawk with my D200. My one disappointment was that I had the ISO inadvertantly on 400, wouild have preferred at least 200, whaddya gonna do?
The scrub habitat is optimal for nighthawk nesting as well as Scrub-jays so I feel pretty good I'll get another shot!
