A day in Boston with my D800

First day out since my new camera arrived. First mistake, thought that I had set the CF card for RAW and the SD card for Raw+jpg. Got home and everything was in jpeg no RAW, ;(. I love the feel of this camera in my hands, the grip is more comfortable than the D700. Wanted to share some shots, really just snaps but I am very happy so far!

Nice shots and congrats on the D800!
That second picture really reminds us of recent events! Love the gopher (I mean the squirrel). LoL

Thank you Matt! The police and military were out in full force yesterday keeping a watchful eye as everyone enjoyed the day.

Very nicely done.

I live about 40 miles from the city which offers a wealth of subjects to shoot.

What caught my attention was the squirrel shot.

Excellent shots. Great detail. Would you mind telling what lenses you used? I see some are at 105mm but not would like to know.

Nice job!

Thank you Jonathan! I used two lenses, Sigma 105mm f/2.8 macro and Nikon 24-70 f/2.8.

Great!

Thanks! The Nikon 24-70 is one of my favorites and gets 60% of the use, but your Sigma is incredibly sharp and great bokeh!

This forum can get sooo expensive.
