Discussion in 'Landscapes, Architecture, and Cityscapes' started by EdinburghGary, Jul 29, 2008.

  1. impressive series, gary
    great thread

thanks for sharing these with us
  2. Thanks Spalding,

  3. Whether the bridges are impressive or not is irrelevant (although these look like nice bridges to me) - your pictures of them are fantastic!

  4. Hey now, #6 is world famous. I've seen it on several television shows on bridges and engineering marvels. And welcome to the Cafe. The wife and I are regular travelers to Scotland. We're heading that way again (Edinburgh) in late June 2009. Maybe you can join RonnieS and me for a joint shoot then?
  5. Thanks for all the lovely comments guys! Rich, thought they only put those shows on TV here in Scotland :)

I live about 4 miles from these.

  6. We'll be there in any case. I've never made it up to Arthur's seat. I'll bet the view is grand.

  7. Arthurs Seat is great I guess. Amazing how much you take things for granted when you have had access to them for 28 years!!

Remember your rain coat. Height of summer, and we had THIS today:

Very nice work, your choice of lighting is excellent.

I have only been to Edinburgh very briefly, however it came across a very pleasant city.

well, this is what I wanted to write....
  14. Call me biased, but I think the Forth Bridge is one of the wonders of modern engineering. If you can still call 1890 modern.

A very nice set, Gary !

Ronnie (the bald one in Rich's picture with the camera :)
  15. I recognise the 1st street, as I walk through it maybe 4 times a week! The 2nd shot? Haven't a clue!! It's not in EDI is it?

  16. Thanks for all the feedback guys,

    Appreciate it.

  17. I think it's Jedburgh.

  18. Great images. I always enjoy my time in your country. The people are great.

Put a couple of sheep on the bridges.
