A few dragonflies

I took advantage of what looked like it was to be the last extra-warm day of our very dry, very warm, very long summer to get out of the city and see if any critters survived.

I found quite a few dragonflies of the genus Sympetrum, the Meadowhawks and managed to get shots of 2 of the 3 species I found.

The trip was a bug-hunting success but ended with a ride back in a truck with the car on the back after the fluid in the cooling system decided to do a runner.😟
New hoses are on order at the local garage.
