A few Ducks

Discussion in 'Birds' started by Louis Champan, Apr 5, 2007.

  1. Well the sun came out, so I went out. Not a lot going on at our favorite local pond right now, but did get a few ducks and one Kingfisher.

And here's one Kingfisher, that was a long ways off.

  2. Great shots Louie...what did you shoot them with?
  3. Thanks taking a look. I was using a D2X, 500mm and a TC1.4. I also had a BB on during some of the shots.

Love the setting for the Devil Bird:) )))

    Excellent set Louie.
  10. Louie, you did better than me. I went to the locks yesterday and there was nothing going on. I will try again today. At least the weather is great. I got the new piece for the Jobu and it takes a little getting used to but I like it.

I really like your KF shot. I assume these were all at Juanita.
  11. Great shots Louie!
  12. Thanks for taking a look.

  13. Thanks Raymond. I waited for this Grebe to get a little closer but it wasn't having any part of it so I ended up with this shot.

  14. Thanks Nick, I appreciate your comments.

  15. Hi Gale, thanks for taking a look. How are things with you?

  16. Hi Jay, it's bee a while indeed. Thanks for taking a look.

  17. Thanks Harry. You got to shot what you can and there just isn't much going on currently so Ducks it is.

  18. Thanks Jim. Yes all were shot at Juanita. BTW, it was dead except for these few ducks and the KF. The Kingfishers has they do kept just out of good shooting range. I was surprised to see that this one turned out as it did. To bad about the locks, there is usually something happening there.

  19. Thanks

  20. A great series Louie. very nice, very sharp, good captures and processing.
