I just got back from a vacation in Lake George, NY. Beautiful area. I generally just shot sports, but thought I'd try my hand at some flower pictures. I don't have a macro lens so these are taken with my D700 and 70-200 VR with 1.4 tc on.

Let me know what you think.

3. This one was taken through a fence setup to protect a small garden from critters.

Nice, 2 and 4 stand out, might have cropped the dead bud in 2. You have an excellent micro lens in the 70/200, you just need some kenko tubes.

Thanks. Number 4 is my favorite. I might go back and do a little PP on number 2 and get rid of the dead bud. Thanks for the idea. The tubes are in my list of things to get!

I went back and cropped/cloned out the dead bud in the second one. Definitely better this way:smile:

I think you should resize your pictures before posting. They are way too big and slow. Try 1000 pixels for horizontals and 900 for verticals

Very nice Randy. Really like #2. Number 1 is nice but all of the flowers are facing the other way, so I would guess you could'nt get on the other side. The 70-200 works very well on these type of shots.

Thanks Will. The wild daisies in number 1 were right on the water's edge so it was that angle or go swimming:tongue:
