If you guys haven't figured out by now, I take pics of just about anything even if I am not very good at some of the subjects. I figure you don't get any better without practice. I got a few shots of some feathery friends at my In-Laws house near their bird feeder, plan to get some feeders on our property for the fall. - Jeff

  2. Jeff dont wait till the fall get those feeders out now and catch the spring migranst it will give you tons of practice.
Be careful birding can be quite addicitve and not to mention quite expensive

  3. What is that second bird?? I captured a shot of one of those while out at my in-laws and I can't ID it.

It looks like a house finch.

Jeff - nice shots. Like Mike said, get the feeder up ASAP. Then put the 300 f4 & 1.4 TC on your camera and sit quietly and still about 15 feet from your feeder. The birds will get used to you pretty quickly and you will be able to get some frame filling shots.

    Good luck,

    Chris
