A few from last Friday. Goslings, osprey and GBH

  1. First of all I hope all the moms had a great mothers day. I know we did. Here are a few shots from the osprey nest. The goslings are now growing very fast and eating like mad. They are sure fun to watch. The GBH flew right to me, landed, looked up at me and took off.

Then the goslings arrived with mom and dad

Since I went to see the osprey, here are a couple of the osprey shots I took as well.

Some things fishy... well at least the heron thought so ;)

Great shots, your lucky to live in such a "busy" location!

  12. Thanks much Mike. The camera seems to be working well after I got the new chip in it.

Thanks Nick. It is always nice to get some variety and action. I was lucky on this day.

    Thanks so much.
Thanks Gale. It is sure fun watching these goslings. They sure grow up fast.

    Thanks much.

No, not yet. I think we will see chicks in the next week or so. Ours seem to be far behind yours. It is sure fun to watch them grow up and learn to fly.

Thanks Ron. I hope all is well with you. Have not seen you for a long while.

    Thanks Phillip.
Yes I feel very lucky to have a chance to see these birds and osprey up close.
    Thanks Anthony.

  13. Excellent set Jim, you nailed it these shots. Looks like you had a pretty good outing after all. I really liked the goslings.

  14. All is well. I have been doing mostly macro shots lately. Guess I need to get the big lens out and check the bird activity.

  15. Beautiful, beautiful shooting. Let me add my congratulations. Great series!!

    Hey, Jim,

I love the GBH shot with its wingtip nearly in the water. Beautiful perspective and the water provides an excellent backdrop. Of course, the goslings and their parents are just great to look at and the images of the goslings alone are terrific. How close were you able to get for those shots?

Your shots of the ospreys continue to knock my socks off. What great work and what a lovely chance to capture a merganser.

    Very nice!

    God bless.
