A few from my trip to Tahoe over the weekend

  1. All of the following images were shot very casually (hand held) from the deck of a cruise boat (MS Dixie II - for those who are regulars at South Lake Tahoe).

When I shot this image, I thought it was a sail boat. But it does not appear to be one -

    NIKON D2X    ---    160mm    f/8.0    1/500s    ISO 100

The lake in the backdrop of the Sierras with new growth of pines making the scene a little more green -

    NIKON D2X    ---    70mm    f/7.1    1/60s    ISO 100

Lack of snow was very evident all over the place -

    NIKON D2X    ---    70mm    f/7.1    1/60s    ISO 100

This peak was less green and more rocky, but lack of snow was still evident :-(

    NIKON D2X    ---    110mm    f/7.1    1/125s    ISO 100

When I shot this image, I did not realize how golden the peaks in the background were -

    NIKON D2X    ---    200mm    f/5.6    1/60s    ISO 100

A few folks enjoying the sun on the 3rd deck of the cruise boat -

Shades of green and blue on the water surface is what makes this interesting -
