A few from the lake today

    Made it out for a little while this morning and this is what I came home with.

    My first capture of this little fella,and no full body shot was allowed.

    This sucker was catching fish
    Down the hatch

    Now time to relax after that nice meal
    All captures taken with the D200 300 f/4 & 1.4 t/c

    Thanks Gary,the last 2 weekends I saw 2 GBH eating fish this size.All the fisherman I talked to said nothing was biting,I'll bet they would liked to have this in there basket:biggrin:

    Good series Tim. I too can't believe they can get something that big down that skinny throat. That's a very pretty greenie!

    Thank you Andy,they sure can get a lot down that narrow throat.I tried to get that greenie in a full body shot but it was not going to happen today

  10. Neat series, It always amazes me to see how much the can swallow it is unbelievable!
  11. Nothing new to add, justing letting you know I like the green heron and am amazed how big a fish the gbh can swallow.

    I bet he couldn't get a full shot of the green since he can't zoom that 300 AFS f4 with the 1.4! hehe
