The morning dove is my fav. I don't have a d300 so I am not sure about the settings you dialed in but they appear a little soft to me.

A nice set Jimmy I cant read the exif data but a few of them look a bit noisy, so I assume they are quite big crops or taken at very high ISO. Still wish we had similar colourful birds inb the UK.
