A few from this evening

  1. Hi all I actually had a few minutes of time to myself so I setup on the front porch and snapped a few. The first goldfinches of the year showed up, which are one of my favorites. All shots with the D2X and the 300 2.8 with the 2x converter

Outstanding as usual, Mike! Your catbird is a female Brown-headed Cowbird.

Wow Mike, dynamite set. Great variety on the backgrounds and the twigs and leaves add to the shots rather than distract. Very nice.

  7. and think what you could do if you took some time to plan your outings. :)

    Super, each one.

  8. Mike, these are as near perfect as they get, the detail and exposure are smack on, an excellent set.

  11. I am not a bird watcher, but these are just spectacular to look at.

  12. Thanks I like my front porch when I get tired of sitting in the blind I can sit in the Adirondack chair and sip my favorite beverage of choice..

  15. Thanks Hunter
I have some perches setup for clean shooting but of course you cant tell where these guys like to land. I think the Red Maple leaves in some made for interesting backgrounds

  16. It is so nice to be able to walk 10 feet and shoot these little guys I am really wanting to get out and shoot the big birds but that involves anywhere from an hour to 2 hours travel time so with my schedule as of late that is not happening

  17. Thanks Louie I love the godfinches they are on of my favorite little guys I appreciate the kind words

  18. Thanks Harris I am so happy the way the 2X works on the 300
