A few from this morning at Jamaica Bay

Went to Jamaica Bay this morning but the sky was not cooperating too well. There was some sun fromtime to time but mostly clouds. I stayed anyway and crawled around in the mud for 3hours with the birdies. Pretty smelly and gross but that is what you get there along with some nice shots if you are lucky! 8)

All shots with D2x, 500mm AF-S, x1.7, ISO 200, fill flash iTTL@Ev-2/3 and supported on a NSN Skimmer (ground pod) with a Wimberley Head attached

PS: These were all shot using AF-C and a4 set to ON, a1 set to "focus", a3 set to "Center Area", and lastly Group Dynamic. Just testing today but it worked well!

Mike, I plan on going again Wednesday but it may rain...we'll see. Let me know when you are going, I will be out of town all most week though! It may be better later in the month for different types of birds, still a little early but fun anyway! YOu really need waders or clothes you don't care about because you crawl in the mud and Goose droppings! :roll:
