A few more 105 VR abstracts...

  1. These were also inspired by a book I just finished reading titled "Photographing the World Around You" by Freeman Patterson.

For these three images (captured with the D700 and Nikkor 105 VR), I tossed a shirt on the floor and looked for some abstract compositions.

    NIKON D700    ---    105mm    f/9.0    1/13s    ISO 200

    NIKON D700    ---    105mm    f/4.0    1/60s    ISO 200

    NIKON D700    ---    105mm    f/9.0    1/13s    ISO 200

    Am I getting carried away?

  2. Very nice, Glenn. Have you tried B&W conversions of any of these? My suggested title for # 2 is "Zabriskie Point"
  3. Thanks Dave.

I'll have to try some B&W conversions on these.

And, I didn't even have to travel to Death Valley to compose these shots. All it took was tossing a shirt on the floor!

  4. I would also love to see these in black and white! You're not getting carried away at all, just looking for art in other places. I like it! And I hope I manage to find time to do the same! (I ordered that book today as well....had some Amazon gift certificates laying around.....)
  5. Sonya,

Thanks for your comments. Please let me know what you think of the book once you've had a chance to go through it.

  6. I tried converting a couple of them into B&W. My conversion skills aren't all that advanced. These were converted using PSE5:

    NIKON D700    ---    105mm    f/4.0    1/60s    ISO 200

    NIKON D700    ---    105mm    f/9.0    1/13s    ISO 200

    Thanks again for looking...
