A few more piping plovers

This species is doing quite well along our coast after sharp declines. Some areas, including the 6 mile stretech of Plum Island have the beaches closed form 4/1 each year till mid August. Other places put up ropes around nesting areas or individual nests.

2. At times you may see 3 babies under a parent - leading to "8 legged" plovers.
