So, I shot a local band as they need some shots for their promotion, here's a couple of them :)

All comments are welcome. I was a little dissapointed with losing the sky, but the time they wanted the shoot and the weather conditions weren't really suited to balancing with SB-28's

I think No. 1 is the most powerful, but No. 3 has some promise if you can work on their faces in PP. Nice shots overall.

I think #3 is a bit cliché. You see this kind of shot all over the place now. I do a lot of band photography and see lots of bands with a very similar promo photograph. Over on Flickr, there are a couple of excellent band photography groups with literally thousands of excellent promo shots from all over the world. It is worth spending a great deal of time perusing to get some ideas, but also to see what kinds of images are "over used".

I'm not trying to criticize your work. I'm trying to provide helpful information.

No worries, all advice is good advice :)

I do like to expiremtn to advoid the cliche, though when there's only a limited time and the client is paying, it's difficult.
