Ashley and I went on a marriage retreat over the weekend. My folks happened to be in the same area too, so we had lunch. Here's a few...

BTW, all this food was courtesy of the Daniel Boone Inn in Boone NC. They serve their meals family style. They just keep bringing plates and bowls of food out....as you can see, my Father was enjoying that quite a bit. As an aside, I was amazed at how well Matrix metering handled the bright outdoors in this shot by perfectly exposing the subject and ignoring the windows.

I made this shot while explaining to a fellow photographer at the retreat with us, how my flash bounce card works. The 'Currie 2:11' is an inside joke. I liked the image, so I thought I'd share it.

I love the shot of your Dad. It makes me want to meet him.

Thanks, Greg. His kindness and warmth comes across well in this picture. He is very easy-going and I think that this shot captures that very well.
