I got to the beach at 5:30 yesterday morning but did not take a single shot till almost 7:00. There were few birds around early and they were very skittish. I could not gt close enough to shoot - they would fly away.
Finally, they started eating and bathing.

Last month I shot piping plover chicks. However, I had not seen any in almost a month. I thought all had been wiped out by the storms and high water we have had. I did see a few juveniles yesterday, however. Glad there was some breeding success.

On the way out I saw a short-billed dowitcher.

Very, very nice images Allan. All are well done and so interesting to view. Glad to see that the 1.7tc is also very useful. Thanks for sharing and nice work.

They're all so cute, great captures. I really like how small the dof is, but how well the bird is in focus.

Thanks Larry, Pia, Alex, Tom, and Randy.

Pia, the beach is hot hear - summer began last week.

You just think the beach is hot there because you aren't here.

We've been getting GORGEOUS clouds here with the rains. Can't buy a cloud in February in Tampa, eh?
