A great windy day at the beach (heavy photos)

Discussion in 'Photojournalism, Candids and Street Photography' started by Panos Kazanelis, Oct 23, 2005.

  1. It started as a hot "summer" day near the 90s (F)
    and ended as hottest !!!
with people flying up and down, right and left...
What a wonderful day at the beach.

  6. You have captured some great colorful images here Panos. Looks like a nice place for this type of activity. Your images show this sport at its best.

  7. It was a really great day... warm weather, wild east winds, lots of fun at the beach and many people having good time!

I was about 120-130ft and some 250-300ft from the distant ones.
The 80-400 was "locked" at 330-340mm and f/8 to deliver sharp images.
E-Bias at -2/3 EV prevented the white waves from blowing.
Speed varied from 1/1000 to 1/1500, ISO 200 and Matrix metering in A-priority.
