I took my wife with me for this mornings walk at the Gadsden park and that made a good morning even better. I went on to the dam this afternoon and about melted but it was worth it.

I had just told my wife that it looked like something had been eating on this Thistle when I spotted this guy nearby. I framed the Thistle and waited forever for him to get to it but he finally did.

I love these Indigo's but they sure can frustrate you.

Yes they are ugly but the action was good! If you look closely you can see that some of the water droplets are actually feathers.

I pity the fool who don't think I'm pretty! My wife said this one looked like Mr. T because of the mohawk hairdo.

A birdscape with common subjects. I love doing these.

    One from the dam.

  2. Andy the entire set is very good but those first 2 are over the top Good.

That new camera is pumping out some really great stuff and you can tell!!!

You did have a good day Andy. Wish I could have joined you, but I started a major landscaping project over the weekend. Unfortunately, it won't be done until at least Saturday afternoon. Maybe we can get together with Gary Sunday.

Where did you get the Bunting?

Thanks Gale, I can't complain about the heat to someone who lives in Florida!

    Thanks Anthony!

It was a great day for sure. Thanks!

    Thanks Nick!

I agree. It's about 30 miles from home.

Yuk. I'll bet it looks great though.

The Bunting was near mile marker 1 at the park behind the Gadsden Mall. I walked up and down the trail several times before finally finding him in the open.

    Thanks for looking Harry.

    Thanks Randy.

Thank you, the birds did seem happy.

Thank you Niecy. You should join us one day for a shoot. I promise we are all harmless.

Thank you and I am very glad you enjoyed them!
  18. Andy I take it you got a new body. Well it looks like you are useing it well. Lucky you finding thistle, lots of small birds in the finch family love it.
These photos are really good, great detail and color and framing.

    Thanks Lou,

The body isn't brand new just new to me. I haven't seen any appreciable difference in IQ in the bodies but the frame rate is a big plus when photographing birds.
  20. Excellent series of shots. Thanks for sharing Andy
