One never knows when the Cedar Waxwings are going to turn up, but when there are berries around, the likely-hood goes up. So I went for a little stroll here in the estuary and came up on a wild cherry tree, and saw activity and was totally surprised when I saw three Cedar waxwings. But the D500,(manual exposure) 500 PF and TC14EII was ready. So I got a few, made my evening. All handheld.

You are certainly correct - none around - suddenly a bunch - got to get the photos before they strip the tree and move on.
