A Merlin...

  1. shot on Hutchinson Island with the 300 f4 and 1.4x handheld. He didnt care if I walked up to his tree.

    It kind of looks like you were aggravating him or something in the first shots. These are great..I love merlins!
    They usually won't sit still for very long...

  10. Not only did he sit there for these, he was still there on my way home.

    Also saw some raptor fly across Jensen Beach Blvd, towards the downtown section by the railroad, into the Publix shopping center. Made a u turn to follow, but lost him. Big, like a redtail.

    Nice shot of a cool bird Harris. I've never (knowingly) seen a Merlin, but have always wanted to.
