Looks like you are dialed in! All images are nice but that 3rd one is special! It appears that you are keeping it! LOL! Congrats!

  3. #3 looks like a 600/4 shot at f/4
this is an impressive set that continues to show us this lens is very special.
If it had cost more we would have had it longer:)

  4. Great detail and colour with these.

  5. Number 3 shows off your skills with this lens...great feather detail.. then of course there is my nemesis the pileated!!!. Still waiting for one to come and get its portrait taken:(

  6. Louie, great shots, you really make that lens preform.

  7. I echo what others said, and the third one is exceptional with any lens camera combo. I would say one can see that the bokeh is not from the 600mm F4, but it is still very good.

  8. Beautiful photos, Louie. Your title threw me off a bit...I thought you meant that your experience with the lens was a mixed bag. These photos resoundingly refute that idea!

  9. All very nice Louis .

  10. Thanks Karen, well I'm up against the gun on returning it so I'll probably keep it. I'm pretty comfortable with it but I'd sure like the opportunity of shooting some move subjects before making my final decision.

Thanks Randy, so far the lens has been very impressive for what I've shot.

    Thanks Barry

  11. Great shots. You're gonna like this lens. Can't wait to see some of your local eagles.

  12. What is this?

  13. Maybe intended for the B&W forum?

  14. a mistake :)

  15. 2 & 3 are terrific, Louis. The lens seems a winner and great value.

  16. I think you're probably right Nick.

Hi Larry, I kind of thought it was posted in the wrong forum just wasn't sure about where it should have gone. Thanks.

  17. Ha :)  I never make mistakes---just big, total screw-ups and worse

  18. Wow Louie what's not to like? Well done. I agree I think it is a keeper.

  19. All good but #3 is excellent.

  20. Thanks very much appreciate your commenting.

Thanks Andreas, I almost there in keeping this lens.

Thanks very much Jim, always appreciate your comments.

    Thank you.

Thanks Bobby, well you know that many of your postings were what pushed me over the edge in purchasing this lens.
