Hey guys,

in my quest on how to improve stability on both Nikon's 70-200 lenses, after reviewing the Kirk collar for the 70-200 f/4, I decided this time to give the Really Right Staff foot & plate replacement for the 70-200 f/2.8 a try. Here it is:

Both the foot & plate are of the highest quality, and they work very well. You can read my review of the RRS foot and replacement plate

Hmmm...I don't have that lens but it's interesting that the foot design would make such a difference in image quality.

Hello Sean,

how are you? It does indeed make quite a bit of difference, in terms of stability and resistance to flex - my main reason to go for the RRS on-lens plate + foot is actually the on-lens plate, which looks sturdier and better than the original Nikon.

Best,

Vieri
