Eight months ago this young man broke his arm while pitching fall ball. It broke on the delivery of a pitch ... not a fall or collision. Sounded like a broom stick handle breaking. I can't think of the major league pitcher who had this happen ... I don't think he was able to make the comeback this young man has made.

My comeback player of Illinois high school baseball! My hat tips to his effort and courage.

Thanks for sharing this story and image, a true test of bravery. Actually, a similar situation occurred in MLB with a pitcher throwing a ball and his throwing arm sustaining a complete fracture without trauma being the cause. It seems to me that the player had recovered from a tumor in the same arm and the bone was reported to be weakened from the disease process. I tip my hat to this young gentleman, this serves to remind us that all things are possible with proper treatment and recovery.

Great shot, inspiring story. I know that happened to one major league pitcher, cause I saw it live. (on TV) Todd Stottlemire, pitching for the Arizona Diamondbacks. I'm sure there were others, but I saw that one.

I believe the pitcher you are thinking of is Dave Dravecky...He pitched for the
Giants and he broke his arm pitching....I don't remember Todd Stottlemire but
the first one that came to mind is Dravecky....

Great story. Glad the kid is back up and playing again..

The shot is good but looks to have a little too much contrast on my screen..
