While I was walking 2 of our 4 Golden Retrievers at the wet lands opposite our home which usually has a variety of birds & ducks, but today there was this Pelican, I'm sure that's what it was. (n)
But it was lucky that I had my camera with the 70-300VRII lens on it and I know it's not the best lens for this type of photography.
As I never photograph birds, plus it was the middle of the day with 2 dogs tugging on the leash I was holding, but anyway, enough of that, here are a couple of shots I got... :)

nice, #5, looks like a plover - we have some almost the same we call a spur wing plover
A pelican indeed. The other one is a Plover also called a spur wing ploiver, masked plover or masked lapwing (Vanellus miles)
Yes that's the upside down version of a pelican.
Many thanks Phil, Alex & Dan, I thought it was a Pelican, and thanks for the info on the "Little Fella", a ploiver...
Hmmm, an upside down version you say Dan, I suppose it depends on which side of the planet you're standing... LOL 🤣 😅 🤪 🙃
