Discussion in 'Nikon DX DSLR' started by alex from holland, Sep 10, 2005.

  1. Hi all,

recently i bought a very good lcd cover. This is instead of that s....d cheap cover nikon supplies with the camera's.
I have posted some info and pictures at dpreview before (sorry).

It's a very good, simple and cheap solution.
    Just have a look at : http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1021&message=14914071

If you want to order please look in the thread : HOW TO ORDER.

I just wanted to share you this, because it a very good product, wich i have been using for about 2,5 years on my fuji s2.

  2. Hi Alex and thanks for the info. Bought one for my 2X and 1X. Perfect fit and easy to install. Nikon should include these instead of the frosted plastic covers. Best $6.00 I've spent on gear.

    Thanks Again

    Grant

  3. Hi Grant,

i am glad you like the product.
I wondered why nobody before replied on this messages as it is a very good and cheap product.

  4. Hi Alex. I just got mine in the mail. I also saw the post about it in DPReview. I have to wait to put them on until after my family comes for dinner tonight. Darn!

  5. I will give those a try.

To be honest, the stock covers on all of my cameras get tossed into a drawer. I never use them.

This seems like it could work.

  6. Thanks Alex, I just ordered mine.

  7. Hello Alex,

    I ordered 3 pieces for D2H/D2X on September 7th, 2005.

September 13th, 2005 the package arrived - the cover is allready on my D2H.

    Excellent solution.

Cancelled an order at my retailer for a bunch of BM3's.

    Thanks very much.

  12. Alex,

It did not list the D2X. Is there one for it and did I miss it on the website? Could you throw me a link to one that is for the D2X?

    Thanks,

  14. Thank you Alex. I now see it...I want to order it too. The Nikon one is so easy to lose.

  15. Thanks Alex.

I've just ordered one for the D70 and one for the D2H. I have never lost a cover, but I am fed up with them steaming them up at the back.

  16. I just ordered one too. So reasonably priced. I was expecting to pay more than 6.00. Thanks again to Alex for the link and info.

I got the protector last week and just had the opportunity to get it put on today. I found it a bit cumbersome getting the adhesive strips on the protector but I am extremely impressed with it overall. It looks factory and is so much better than that cover I lost some months ago.

The price was right too. At 6.00 its hard to beat. I'm looking forward to seeing how this will hold up several months down the road.

    Thanks for the tip alex.

  18. Hi Patrick,

Yep, putting on these strips needs some patient.
But you wil love it. Mine is on the s2 for 3 years now and it holds perfect. It's the same material as the LCD from the camera.
