A real oldie

Looking at old images. I was very pleased to see and capture this green heron in New Hampshire. My first Nikon DSLR.

Surprisingly good I think. The year was 2007. Shortly thereafter I sold my first 500 (no vr) to get a 400 2.8 which I kept for a year before selling it for a 600.

Loved the D2X for landscapes, but had to be below ISO 400. Did my only wedding with a D2X. Yikes.

It was the last time I had just one body. When I sold it I got a D3X and a D300. Two bodies for many years - then 3 when the Z7 came out.

Andreas is a trouble maker. I bought my 300mm, f2.8 from him years ago. I thought I was in heaven when I put that on my D2X.
