Went for a ride today on the Largo Central Railroad. This is a miniature railroad that has been set up in my city park for many years. It is fully operated by private club members who love railroading as a hobby.

I know Leigh, Patrick and the boys would have a great time here!!

In exchange for using public property to lay out their elaborate permanent tracks, they offer free rides the first weekend of every month. We've gone numerous times. It is great fun and has become quite popular. They average 4,000 riders each weekend!!

They have even built a tunnel!!

Several trains can run at the same time. It's always exciting to pass another train.

Great pics, Mitch
Thanks, Gale.

Good fun was had by all.

Nice shots, Mitch. We did something similar a couple weekends ago.

It was great fun and we look forward to shooting the trains again. Although Cafe member Donald_Yungling is far too modest about it, he owns one of these trains that is truly amazing. Alot of work and dedication required in owning and running them.

Thanks for pointing out that thread. I'm not sure how I missed it.
