Featured A river in the Canadian Rockies

Discussion in 'Black and White' started by Minuteman3, Feb 26, 2018.

  1. Another of the images I have been printing. This was in the Canadian rockies, near Banff National Park or possibly Jasper National Park. I was not using my GPS on this trip ... big mistake!!

  4. This image has everything: interesting sky, water, mountains, valley, trees, overall composition and tonalities seemingly throughout the range of darkest to brightest tones.

  5. Very nice. I took a wider view from the same spot in '07. It's along the Icefields Parkway (Hwy 93) somewhere between Jasper and the Columbia Ice Fields. Jim has the river right.

  9. Ken - That's a great composition in B&W. I bet it would make a great metal print. Thanks for sharing.

Another great shot. But you know that it's not fair to be showing Banff and Jasper landscapes . . . every bend on that Icefield's Highway has a stunning view ;)

Just out of curiosity, what lens were you using?
