A Sad Series.....(image heavy)

Halftime in Central Florida, halftime RV'ing.
About 6 weeks ago now my younger brother decided to end his life. Rob was a highly regarded luthier in the Seattle area, and was well known in that city's art and music scene. His guitars were truly world class; each one a unique piece of art. They were lovely to behold, and were well known for their playability and beautiful full bodied tone. His death was a complete blindside to everyone who knew him, family and friends alike. The total shock has subsided a bit, but I know this will never make sense; never "fit". He seemingly had the world by the tail, especially in recent days. I guess it's impossible to know with certainty what is happening within someone elses heart and mind.

I was able to walk around in his workshop, built with his hands with loving care in his Seattle backyard. Nothing had yet been disturbed. It was pretty much how he left it. I tried to create a photo essay of the shop to capture the feel and color of that space. I'm very grateful to have had that chance. Here are some of those shots. I don't know who took this shot. My wife found it online somewhere.

Astonishing.

The current heartbreak of not knowing the reason may invariably be undermined by the tragedy of never knowing.

May the legacy of his work inspire music to gently caress his memory.

Jack,

So sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you and his family for this is
really a sad moment.
My friend took his own life about a year ago and his family has yet to figure
out why for he left no note, and he was like your brother, had everything he wanted.

Take care,
Phil...........

My condolences to you and your family, unexpected death is heartbreaking enough, unexplained death is tragic. Your excellent pictures give us an image of your brothers life.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this painful time.

Your photo essay is very touching, and, as Gretchen said, it definitely gives a feel for your brother's passion.
