Singin' in the Rain. OK, so not singing, and it was not raining, but I found a trashed umbrella in the dunes and had to do something stupid with it, while holding $3000.00 worth of camera stuff in one hand, over the mud...see the knees...at low tide. Thanks to my good friend and great Canon photographer Bill Miller who caught it with NO advance planning. The bird seems unimpressed.

Ok now we know the secret to getting those great shots. Birds are bewildered at first then come to the realization that something that funny and strange couldn’t possibly pose a threat. Instead of wings uses a contraption to shadow the water, and has a big long round black beak. I wanna see the fish flip....love it.

Think you need to do a book on N Florida wildlife photography and use this as the cover. I’ll buy it in a heartbeat.
