A Visit to Flatey Island, Breidafjord, Iceland

  1. The next stop on our adventure was to Flatey Island, one of the 1000+ islands in Breidafjord, at the northwest corner of Iceland.

    This small island was once a important trading post and religious center but now it is just a few farms and vacation homes.

    One of my dreams it to do a trip like your's sometime in the future.
