There is so much to see and photograph in Maine that there is no way you will fail to find places to do your photography. Watch for lighthouses.
I cannot remember Bal Harbour very well but if you pay attention there could be some spectacular shots as lobster fishermen return to port.
I have been there three times always in October and it could be difficult to tell if sunsets in summer could be good subjects.
I know there is a dense mist in May in early morning that yields itself also to some spectacular shots. You better check with the locals for opportunities in early morning.
