Wifey & I had a nice encounter with a RT Hawk on Saturday. He let us inch surprisingly close (in the vehicle) and let us both get some nice shots. I haven't had a lot of time to spend working the files yet but here's a couple.

Very good. I like the last two best when it is staring right at you.
Thanks Allan. It was fun to photograph this one.

Really nice shots Phil with lots of details.
Well done.😀
Thank you Bob. He made it easy. Lol

Nice, very sharp and exp spot on...I do think he might have been flipping you the bird however😜
Thanks John. I have to agree! We had some fun with "Caption This" on a couple of these, but I know better that go there in a public forum. ;-)

Wonderful captures!
I appreciate it Phil.

Excellent work! Love 'em all.
That's quite kind Nick. Thank you.

Top notch work Phil, love them all.
Thanks Louie. Like I said above, this fella made it easy.

Nailed them Phil. Especially like the detail in the second to last image.
Thanks Bob. I'm trying to get in the groove with the Z7II. 45mp images are far easier to blur, so I have to improve my sloppy habits. Lol.

Clarity in the eyes is excellent and draws you in. Very nice.
Thank you Brian. They look particularly good on the iMac 5k screen.

Great work, Phil! Keep ‘em coming!
Thanks Mike. You know I will.

Nice images Phil. He looks young or maybe it just has a really good moisturizing routine. Lol
He is Bill, and that likely explains his tolerance of us humans. Some later images, taken on a subsequent pass of this general area show the back and it still has a lot of white in it.

Here's a couple from the Mrs. of the same Hawk. Yea, we were in the same vehicle.

Is it just me, or is anyone else having trouble seeing images in many of the bird threads?

I see "broken link" icon rather than images in many threads where others have commented on photos.

It was like that at the office today on a W10 machine and again at home on my Mac. This only happened to me once before. It was a couple weeks back, in one of Boblou's threads.

Wow! Excellent !
Thanks Carl, I appreciate the kind words.

Awesome detail. Nice job.
Thank you Dan. This guy made it easy.

Awesome. Like the light.
Thanks Dan. There truely is no substitute for that early or late day light.

Here's one more that Momma got. Try as I might, it sure is hard to beat the D500 / 500PF combo.
