Is there an adapter that I can buy to use this lens on my Nikon DSLRs?
Possible, try here ... good luck !
If it was possible to use a Leica-M lens on a Nikon body I don't think that anyone would ever choose anything else.
No, it is not possible, not on a Nikon or whatever else SLR/DSLR body (well, not for all distances anyway, maybe just close-ups).
This is because adapters ADD distance between the lens and the film/sensor plane. But the Leica-M has already shorter lens/film plane distance from all SLR/DSLR cameras, so we should decrease the distance, which is mechanically impossible of course.
Thanks Luigi & Jordan.
I may end up selling off the damn lens since I cannot mount it on Nikon.
Damn lens ??? That's a gorgeous 75mm Summilux!
I would propose you something else instead: Buy an M8 and then this one will be THE best portrait lens! (equivalent of 100mm f/1.4)
Not to mention the Leica glow in your portraits...
(I hope that it's not too obvious that I'm a Leicaholic)
