Advice about Horse Racing

Discussion in 'Photojournalism, Candids and Street Photography' started by Luckynp, May 18, 2005.

  1. I'm considering a trip to the races on Friday if the weather's OK (big if in this part of the world).

I've tried this once before without too much success. I have a D70. This time I'll have the 70-200 VR + TC-17, and I now know about dynamic area autofocus, which I didn't then.

I'd welcome any advice anyone has about shutter speeds/apertures and settings and techniques generally.

  2. Good luck, you have an excellent lens. Try panning with the horses for in focus subject and out of focus background.
