I did some checks with tennis, soccer, and skateboarding that I don't normally shoot but all appeared okay with auto focus track and Continuous Shooting.

The real test is shooting what I know, race horses. Looks like my D2X is okay. 80-200 AFS f2.8 lens in use. I don't trust Clubphoto for display of web shots (sometimes good displaying on other sites, sometimes not). Since these are test shots, no more than 10 seconds of post processing. I already saw what I needed to see.

I'm breaking the shots into three parts so that it won't overload a single thread. Part I is a series of a race horse coming towards me.

All dreaded red X's here. Tried to trace back to web site but did not work.

  3. What setting do you use?

I can see them OK Andreas (and Larry).

  5. Sorry :)  No I meant what in camera settings for autofocus are you using for these shots?

Didn't realize this could be misunderstood :)

I was watching this one in case you meant camera settings. AF-On is on but I still use shutter release to focus for action shots.

    a1 is set on Focus.
    a2 Focus
    a3 Pattern 1 Center area
    a4 Lock-on
    a5 On
a6 Manual Focus Mode - On
    a7 OFF
a8 AF- On + Focus Area (might change this one later)
