    I just picked up a used AF24mm f2.8 D to use on my D200 and F4.
I was wonder if many people use this lens as a 'standard lens'. It is a 36mm on the DSLR and so far I like the results.
  2. I have used it previously, but use a 28mm as my standard lens. Just be careful with the perspective on the 24. Things get a little "distorted" (depending on distance from lens) very quickly.

24/2.8 is my only wide angle at this point. It's tiny and weight-less. I usually leave it in the bag while 85/1.4 attaching to the camera in case I need a wide angle coverage.

A 24mm was the only lens I had on my D100 for quite a while, I love it. I original had the sigma 2.8 but got a good deal and got the Nikon 2.8 it stays almost permanently on my D100 still
  5. I use a 24mm f/2.8D as a walk around lens when I don't want the camera to be too big. It's also of course faster than my 18-70 and it's the widest lens I've got when attached to my F4.
