African Violets using Nikon 55-200VR with Kenko Extension Tube

Discussion in 'Macro, Flowers, Insects, and Greenery' started by Maji, Jul 7, 2008.

  1. Got to make some macros over the long 4th of July weekend. I love the looks of sharp subjects superimposed on colorful OOF background... or in other words I crave bokehs

Your comments and criticism are very welcome.

African Violet No. 1. Used Nikkor 55-200VR with a Kenko Extension Tube. I like the effect of this combination. It lets me work in "semi" macro mode and yet allows me to use slower shutter speeds.

  3. Robert,

Thanks for your comments. While experimenting, I found that adding the tubes to any lens opens a completely new avenue for exploration. Live and learn, I guess.
